Urlbit Pro Shortner ("we", "our", or "us") provides a free link shortening and link cloaking service. When you use our platform, we collect certain information to provide and improve our services:
- URLs Shortened: When you shorten a destination URL, we store the original URL, the generated short link alias, custom aliases, and any metadata (such as preview titles, descriptions, and preview images) you provide.
- Click Analytics Data: When a shortened link is clicked, we collect anonymous aggregate analytics data including the visitor's approximate geographic location (country and city derived from IP address), browser type, operating system/device, referring website, and timestamp. We do not store raw IP addresses in visitor tracking logs.
- Account Information: If you choose to sign in using Google OAuth, we receive your name, email address, and Google profile picture as provided by Google. We never receive or store your Google password.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information solely for the following purposes:
- To provide, operate, and maintain our link shortening, cloaking, and redirection services.
- To display aggregate click analytics to link creators.
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, spam, phishing, malware, or violations of our Terms of Service.
- To respond to user inquiries and provide customer support via support@urlbit.pro.
3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use essential cookies to maintain user sessions, remember dark mode preferences, and manage cookie consent preferences. We do not use third-party tracking cookies for targeted behavioral advertising.
4. Data Retention
Shortened links and anonymous click analytics remain active indefinitely unless deleted by the link creator or removed by our abuse mitigation team. If you delete a link from your account dashboard, all corresponding analytics are permanently purged.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access, update, or delete your account information at any time through your dashboard. You may also request the deletion of your account and all associated links by emailing our support team.
